While we're on the subject of sales and affiliate links, I need to know. What are your thoughts on affiliate links? Do you mind using them when provided? Do you feel like it's all just a sales pitch to get you to spend your hard-earned dollars? Please be honest in answering. I'll go first...
I have mixed feelings on the subject, honestly. I sometimes worry that my crafty friends, who would be you, might feel like this is just a sales pitch.
With that said, I have experienced complete annoyance from crafty friends if I don't give a product link, and I understand that, too.
While we're on the topic, let me ask you, do you have a favorite crafter, and no matter what, you only use their affiliate links? Or do you believe, if someone takes the time to create and share, you should use their links?
I have very strong feelings about this. If a crafter's project inspires me to the point of making a purchase, you better believe that crafter is earning a commission off of me. They put their time, supplies, and thought into that project, and they deserve that commission. It's just the right thing to do.
While I'm asking 500 questions here, let me know your thoughts on people appearing in their video tutorials. Is that something you enjoy? When scrolling through YouTube, if you saw my moon pie (there's a story there) smeared across the YouTube Thumbnail, would it really make a difference? Or do you prefer what I currently do, short and to the point?
Why all the questions? If I'm spending the time bringing you content, I want it to be something you enjoy. I enjoy making video tutorials and sharing my card process, but I need to change things up if the content is not appealing.
Also, do you prefer videos showing one card being made or when someone shows you 10 ways to use one product?
