Hi and welcome! Today I'm so excited about sharing this Color Blocking technique. It makes fun dramatic cards and the new Trinity Stamps A2 Foundation Stencils make this super simple! I have a quick video tutorial below along with a step-by-step pictorial.
Spray stencil with Pixie Spray, let sit for one minute before using
Position stencil over white cardstock
Cover-up the top half of the cardstock with the center rectangle stencil using the etched lines to keep everything straight
Add Distress Oxide Dusty Concord ink and completely cover the lower half of the cardstock
Move the stencil to the bottom half of the cardstock
Using one more the inner rectangle stencils cover half of the top section
Apply Distress Oxide Milled Lavender ink, remove stencil
Cover the Milled Lavender ink with the stencil and apply Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick Inks
Here's a look the color-blocked panel
Repeat the steps, applying inks in different areas
Create two more panels using Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, and Spun Sugar inks
Center the smallest die from the Nesting Heart Dies on one of the panels, run through die-cut machine
Repeat with one of the lavender panels
Optional: Add double-sided adhesive over orange panel, place foil over adhesive, burnish
Add foil to the die-cut heart
Add mounting foam to the back of die-cut hearts and center on the card panels
Trim down panels used to die-cut the hearts out, use the stencil to center the panels on 4.25" x 5.5" card bases using liquid adhesive
Finish cards with sentiments, die-cut words, gold letter stickers, the possibilities are endless.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
